World Wetlands Day at GTM Research Reserve
Occasion on 2012-02-02 08:00:00
Celebrate World Wetlands Day with the GTM Research Reserve. On February 2, 2012 the planet will unite close to wetlands in order to demonstrate how they create a healthful Earth, Human, and Economic climate.
The Skinny:
Wetland tourism has benefits each locally and nationally for people and wildlife – advantages such as more powerful economies, sustainable livelihoods, healthy folks and thriving ecosystems.
It is really worth noting that tourism is only a single of the services that wetlands deliver. Making certain nicely-managed tourism practices in and all around wetlands and educating tourists on the value of wetlands contributes to the health of the planet's wetlands and the prolonged-phrase positive aspects that wetlands supply to folks, wildlife, economics, and biodiversity.
